Josh Miller brings a background in media finance and entertainment production to his work as a financial advisor at Regatta Capital Group. Before joining Regatta, Josh spent nearly 20 years as a senior executive, producer, and consultant at studios, networks, and production companies including Amazon Studios, NBCUniversal, AMC Networks, and BRON Studios. He also ran his own consulting practice, advising companies such as Imagine Entertainment, Filmhub, and Endeavor on development, financing, and sales strategy. As a producer, his films and shows found homes at Paramount, Netflix, Tubi, and Amazon. Across these roles, he oversaw more than $150 million in production, guiding projects from capital commitment through distribution. That experience translates directly to how Josh serves clients today. Whether a client is navigating a liquidity event, managing concentrated income, building a tax strategy, or planning for the next generation, Josh brings the same rigor and judgment that defined his work in an industry where the creative, financial, and reputational stakes are consistently high.
He knows firsthand the evolving financial realities facing entertainment, technology, and media professionals, as well as entrepreneurs and independent business owners who operate outside the predictability of a traditional salary: income that doesn’t follow a W-2 calendar, equity in projects and companies, and careers where bold decisions and the right financial scaffolding make all the difference. Josh invests as much time in understanding a client’s life as he does their portfolio, because the best financial decisions are the ones made with full context, not just numbers. He works with clients across the greater Los Angeles area from Regatta’s Studio City office.
Born in Montreal and raised in Atlanta, Josh has called Los Angeles home for nearly 20 years. He lives in Sherman Oaks with his wife and their two children. He graduated cum laude from the University of Miami with degrees in Motion Pictures and Sociology. Weekends in the Miller household revolve around shuttling between baseball games and birthday parties, with whatever time is left reserved for the golf course…where Josh is two years in and showing slow signs of improvement.
